Principle

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). This website itself sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics tools. Fonts are loaded from our own server.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When you visit it, technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, time, page requested, browser type) is processed to deliver the website securely and reliably. This may involve a transfer of data to the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the Swiss Federal Council recognises as providing adequate data protection.

Contact by request form, email or phone

When you contact us, we use your details (e.g. name, email, phone, travel dates, number of guests, message) only to answer your request and to handle any resulting booking.

The request form is forwarded to us by email via the Web3Forms service. Web3Forms is operated by Web3Creative (India), and its servers are in the USA. As neither country ensures adequate data protection, the transfer is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which are recognised by the FDPIC. If you prefer to avoid this, contact us directly by email or phone.

Our email mailbox is hosted by hosttech GmbH in data centres in Switzerland.

Tourist tax and guest card

We pay the tourist tax as your host. You obtain the guest card yourself via the Engelberg-Titlis Tourismus self-service, which is subject to their privacy policy.

Availability calendar

The "Prices & availability" page embeds a calendar from belegungskalender-kostenlos.de (Germany). When the calendar loads, your IP address is transmitted to this provider, which may set its own cookies. Germany provides adequate data protection.

Links to Google Maps and other websites

Links to external websites open the pages of the respective providers. The privacy policies of those providers apply to their websites.

Retention

We delete requests that do not lead to a booking after 12 months at the latest. We keep booking and invoice records for the statutory period of 10 years.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy at any time. The version published on this website applies. Last updated: October 2026.

Your rights

You can at any time and free of charge ask what data we process about you, request that it be corrected or deleted, object to the processing and ask for your data to be handed over. Just contact us by email. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch).
